KTMU Hosts Central Asian Universities Association Meeting.

Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) hosted the Central Asian Universities Association (CAUA) meeting. At the Central Asian Universities Association Executive Board meeting, the work carried out in the period since the foundation of the Association was reviewed and new decisions were made regarding the development of the Association. 55 members in a short time ... Rector Prof.Dr. Balcı stated that the Association established with the participation of 29 universities from 15 countries on April 26, 2016 reached 55 members in a year and that they would work as the Executive Board of the Central Asian Universities Association for all these universities to act together and develop common projects.The planned activities in the short-term meeting were also discussed. Increasing cooperation between institutions ... The aim of the Central Asian University Association is to increase cooperation among universities, higher education institutions and institutions that cooperate with them, to support internationalization, to provide teaching staff and student mobility, to develop joint diploma programs, to develop programs and to cooperate on credit transfer systems, to work on accreditation mechanisms, and to develop projects that contribute to regional development, taking into account the strengths of the member universities.

Central Asian Universities Association was established under the leadership of KTMU.

On April 29, 2016, the "Central Asian Universities Association" was established under the leadership of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU). 29 universities from 15 countries attended the event, which includes Central Asia and neighboring countries. It is expected that the Association will play an important role in scientific, economic, social and cultural cooperation in Central Asia. It is planned to contribute to the strengthening of the cooperation between the countries of the region, and to prepare the ground for the rapprochement between the nations and peoples of the region. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Balcı said that international cooperations and joint actions are important especially for higher education institutions. Prof.Dr. Balcı said that cooperation between the institutions will help to increase the relations between the countries, Balcı emphasized the belief that the Central Asian Universities Association will grow rapidly and become a means to charities. KTMÜ Deputy Rector Asılbek Kulmırzayev started his speech with giving information about the Central Asian Universities Association and then he said that he hopes that this union will become operational in the direction of educational and scientific goals and will contribute to the welfare of the people. University representatives from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Tajikistan and Turkey participated in the signing ceremony also expressed their opinions about this new formation. KTMÜ Rector Prof.Dr. Balcı will lead the Central Asian Universities Association with the Union Executive Board for 3 years.

The first Turkic Council Turkic Universities Union sports games came to an end.

The 1st Sports Games hosted by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMÜ) which is the Chairman of Turkic Council Turkic Universities Union (TÜRKÜNİB) and Cenral Asian Universities Association (MAUB) had ended. The closing ceremony of I.Turkic Council TÜRKÜNİB Sports Games and the celebration program of 19 May Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day were held today at KTMU Indoor Sports Hall (May 19, 2017). The ceremony and celebration program was broadcasted all over the world via Facebook live broadcast of Media Manas. Mr. Hidayet Oruçov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan, Ayımdos Bozcigitov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan, Educational Consultant of Turkish Embassy in Bishkek, Recep Sula, Military Attache Erkan Erbay, Deputy Secretary General of Turkic Council Omer Kocaman, Turkic Council  Turkic Universities Union Chairman and Rector of KTMU Prof.Dr. Sebahattin Balcı, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Anvar Mokeyev and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Öğüt, representatives of sports related institutions, sports fans, academicians, students and members of the press participated on the celebration. Central Asian Universities General Assembly and Annual Ordinary Congress

Annual Convention with the theme "Internationalization of Higher Education" and the Fırst General Assembly of the Central Asian Universities Association will be held at University of Mohaghegh Ardabili between 15-16 November 2017. During the event it is also planned to organize Education fair with participation of member universities of CAUA, Iranian and Georgian Universities. Turkic University Union Student Council organized the event at Bishkek Humanities University

Turkic Council Turkic University Union Student Council organized activities together with other member universities. Prof.Dr Sebahattin Balcı the Rector of Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University and the President of Turkic Universities Union, Prof.Dr. Abdylda Musaev the Rector of Humanities University, Dr. Chynara Adamkulova the Rector of Kyrgyz National University and lecturers and students of member universities joined the event hosted by Bishkek Humanities University on March 15,2017.Speaker of the event ,Prof.Dr Sebahattin Balcı said “Today is a very meaningful and happy day for us. Our supreme nationalism which established one of the richest civilizations in human history and strengthened its unity in the 21st century,faced the opportunity to revitalise our civilization from Central Asia to Europe.The Youth of Turkic World are who would achieve this and exhibit unity and friendship we see in this program.We trust young people and appreciate all of them.We value and support the activities of the Turkic University Union.This year we will launch student and lecturer exchange program in a pilot implementation.We will start the program in September, 2017.We will organize competitions in 5 branches in Turkic University Union Sport Games.There will be around 200 participants. International Social Sciences Congress : Turkestan Forum III

International Social Sciences Congress : Turkestan Forum III congress themed "The Future, Opportunities and Threats of the Turkic World in the Globalization Process"was held by Ahmet Yesevi University Faculty of Social Sciences. The opening ceremony of the International Congress of Social Sciences: Turkestan Forum III congress was held by Ahmet Yesevi University Social Sciences Faculty in Turkestan on the occasıon of of the 2017 Turkic World Culture Capital Conference on "The Future, Opportunities and Threats of the Turkic World in the Globalization Process".The opening ceremony of the congress held at the Turkistan Campus Cultural Center on April 26, 2017 was attended by the Rector of Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University. Dr. Sebahattin Balcı and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Öğüt. Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Günal ,Deputy Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party Turkic World and International Relations and deputy of Antalya ,Dr. Musa Yıldız, President of the Board of Trustees Ahmet Yesevi University, Dr. Mehmet Emin Arat Rector of Marmara University, Mürsel Turbay, Chairman of BEM-BİR-SEN, Dr. Valihan Abdibekov Rector of Ahmet Yesevi University, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kutalmış Deputy Rector and numerous academicians, as well as invited guests the congress in the opening speech Deputy Governor of the State of South Kazakhstan. Dr. Musa Yildiz President of the Board of Trustees of Ahmet Yesevi University reported: , "The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev proposed our university as a joint university of the Turkic World at the summit of Turkic World Leaders , and the leaders` agreement has given us a great responsibility. Ahmet Yesevi University with all its team is making great efforts to serve for the future of the Turkic World in the awareness of this responsibility . The fact that Turkestan is the cultural capital of the Turkic world and the identification of Yesevi with the city of our university has furthered this responsibility. "After delivering a speech Prof.Dr. Musa Yildiz presented a gift wearing Kazakh traditional clothes chapans to Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Günal, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Arat and Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Balcı to due to their participation . Dr.Valihan Abdibekov Rector of Ahmet Yesevi University, in his congratulation message expressed his considerations that the congress will make a great contribution to the unity and co-existence of the Turkic World .In honour of Hoca Ahmet Yesevi's 850th year birth in 2016 that was declared by UNESCO as Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Year, Professor Dr. Abdibekov presented Dr. Mehmet Günal, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Arat and Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Balcı a gold medal . Approximately 100 scientists from USA, UK, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and other countries participated in the congress, which was ending on 28 April 2017.

Central Asian Universities Association General Assembly was held

The First General Assembly of the Central Asian Universities Association (CAUA), which was established by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) and headed by the Rector of KTMU Prof.Dr. Sebahattin Balcı, was held. The Chairman of CAUA and Rector of KTMU Prof.Dr. Sebahattin Balci, the coordinator of CAUA Assoc.Prof. Yunus Emre Gurbuz, head of Turkish Civilization Research and Application Center Assis.Prof. Cengiz Buyar and History Department Faculty Member Dayan Kamal attended the meeting held on 15-16 November 2017, hosted by Mohaghegh Erdebili University in the Erdebil, Iran.  A seminar titled "Internationalization in Education" and a University Promotion Fair were organized before the General Assembly. 35 representatives including 11 rectors from 16 universities participated in the meeting held in Erdebil. Erdebil was represented by 13 guests from East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan and Gilan, and 1 from neighboring Georgia. Iranian officials also took part at the meeting. The First General Assembly of the Association was held under the leadership of Association's Chairman Prof. Dr. Balcı on November 16, 2017. The work that has been carried out since the establishment of the Association was passed at the General Assembly, and the Regulation approved by the Executive Board at the KTMU meeting on April 14, 2017 was presented and accepted. In addition, "CAUA Exchange Program Directive" and "MAUB Student Council Directive" prepared in Turkish and English for 2018-2019 Academic-Education Year were presented to the members of the General Assembly and were approved. Following the successful two-day meetings in terms of unity, a social program prepared by Erdebil University was carried out. CAUA aims to act jointly with the member universities in activities and projects in various fields such as education and training, scientific research, collecting service, internationalization, culture, arts and sports. The Union is consist of  60 universities from 16 countries including Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, People's Republic of China, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Macedonia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkey and Ukraine.

    The regulation is designed to establish the Central Asian Universities Association (CAUA), which brings together universities in Central Asia and neighboring countries that have agreed to implement the joint productive activities in conformity with the following goals and objectives.

  • The goals of the Central Asian Universities Association are to expand cooperation among universities and organizations, promote internationalization, ensure academic mobility of students and teachers, develop joint degree and educational programs, and a unified credit transfer system, create the quality controlsystem and mechanisms for accreditation, as well as to develop projects promoting regional development,taking into account the strengths of member Universities of the Association. The Association will play an important role in scientific, economic and socio-cultural collaboration in Central Asia, and will enhance cooperation among the countries of the region and pave the way for a rapprochement of nations and peoples of the region.
  • * Conferences, symposiums, seminars and workshops;
    * Fairs, exhibitions and competitions;
    * Activities to improve the professional qualifications, courses and summer schools;
    * Joint multinational projects, which contribute to the development at the local and regional level;
    * Projects aimed at bringing together the peoples and establishing intercultural dialogue/interaction;
    * Projects on the exchange of students and lecturers;
    * Programs on the exchange of experience between the managerial and administrative staff;
    * Activities for the development of joint educational programs and the creation of credit-transfer system;
    * Activities for the modernization of the system of quality control and accreditation;
    * Activities for the creation of online networking with similar international organizations.
  • The Association shall be headed by the President of the Association, the General Meeting and the Board of the Association. All the heads of the member organizations of the Association shall be members of the General Meeting of the Association. The General Meeting of the Association shall appoint members of the Board of the Association for a period of 3 years. The Board of the Association shall appoint President of the Association for a period of 3 years.

7th International Black Sea Symposium

The "7th International Black Sea Symposium" organized by the Central Asia University Association Board of Directors with the decision and support of the Chairman of the Turkish Keneş Association of Turkish Universities and the Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMÜ) Prof. Dr.Sebahattin Balcı was held between 19-21 October 2017 in Giresun. KTMÜ Rector and academicians attended the symposium on "Turkish-Russian Relations" of the Black Sea Strategic Research and Implementation Center. Giresun Governor Harun Sarıfakıoğulları stated in his opening speech at the Ömer Halisdemir Conference Hall at Güre Campus that he will present valuable notices both in Turkish and foreign academicians in the symposium, which will be an important contribution to both academic and thought life. The rector of Giresun University Cevdet Coşkun said that at a time when world politics is changing, there is a process in which both countries, Turkey and Russia, both in Asia and Europe, have power and in close contact and cooperation. Coşkun said that the development of relations between the two countries would have a positive effect on both the region and the world, stated "In this context, as Giresun University, we have defined the main theme of the 7th International Black Sea Symposium as Turkish-Russian relations, which will not only be limited to international relations but also will cover many different underground issues such as energy, exports, history, geography, literature, cinema and tourism".
